This section is responsible for the complete accountability of all funds under the custody of the County Treasurer and the preparation of various reports mandated by laws and regulations.

This unit provides the following cashiering services:

• receives and processes treasury deposits from various county departments
• draws checks to pay banks
• deposits daily collection (cash and checks) to bank
• cash welfare checks
• process return checks from Treasury deposit

The 457 Deferred Compensation Plan is a voluntary tax-deferred plan, which supplements employees' retirement funds, and provides income tax benefits through the deferral of compensation. Staff provides assistance to qualified employees/participants, and has oversight of the County's Plan in the following areas:

• enrollments, change of deferral amounts, rollovers (in)
• schedules distributions of funds upon employees' retirement/separation of service
• answer employees'/participants' questions about the Plan
• liaison with plan administrator
• maintain participant files

• execute routing investment transactions
• verify investment transactions
• investment document
