Overview

Management Services provides administrative support and business services for the Public Works Agency. There are five divisions: Administrative and Office Services; Fiscal and Accounting; Human Resources, Information Technology, and the Office of Policy and Program Development.

Administrative and Office Services

Provides facilities management and security administration services for the Elmhurst facility; telecommunication and equipment coordination; management of the Agency’s capital asset inventory; clerical and word processing support for the Agency; and oversees warehouse functions, office supplies procurement and mail distribution.

Finance Services

Responsible for Agency payroll activities, purchase orders and contracts, accounts payables and receivables, credit card program, financial audits, cost analysis and budget preparation.

Human Resources

Manages Agency employee relations; training; workers compensation; affirmative action; employee benefits; recruitment and examination; classification functions, and the County School Crossing Guard Program.

Information Technology

Provides network services; information technology consulting, system development, Intranet, data center services, and application support to all Public Works Agency departments and employees.

Office of Policy and Program Development (OPPD)

Provides community outreach; legislative analysis; and policy and program formulation, analysis, development and implementation for Transportation, Flood Control, Water Resources, and other essential public works services.
